We believe every person has the capacity for healing, growth, and meaningful change.

Therapy offers an opportunity to better understand yourself, untether from longstanding patterns, and move toward a life that feels more connected, grounded, and aligned.

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.” CARL JUNG

Healing happens beneath the surface

People are nuanced and deeply complex. Effective therapy often involves more than working with thoughts alone — it includes the emotions, beliefs, nervous system responses, and protective patterns that exist beneath conscious awareness.

Our perspective is informed by attachment theory, subconscious and trauma-focused approaches, somatic training, neurobiology, and a holistic understanding of emotional wellbeing.

We approach this work with warmth, depth, and careful attunement. Rather than applying a single approach to every person, our work is integrative and responsive to the unique experiences, histories, and needs each client brings into therapy.

Through this process, clients are supported in developing greater emotional capacity, deeper self-understanding, and new ways of relating to themselves, others, and the world around them.

Hypnotherapy

Using clinical hypnosis within psychotherapy, this is deep and meaningful work that addresses root cause, shifts and releases patterns that have become maladaptive, and engages the subconscious mind as the seat of change. This process is profoundly transformative, in a way that feels natural and like returning to self. My approach is gentle, supportive, compassionate, and centered around meaning-making and insight.

  • 90 minutes

The initial hypnotherapy session includes assessment of the issue, setting goals for our work together, and the development of individualized resources and tools for future clinical work. This session may include teaching about the subconscious mind and personalized exercises to support you between sessions. You will be guided through the process of going into hypnosis, and we will begin working on the issue you want to resolve in this initial session.

  • 60-75 minutes

Ongoing hypnotherapy sessions will follow individualized treatment plans, according to your unique needs and goals.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy sessions are person-centered, trauma-informed, and integrative. This is a confidential and respectful space to explore formative experiences, ways of being in the world, conditions of worth, aspirations, motivations, relationships, and patterns. You can expect a warm, compassionate guide in your therapist. Our intention is for you to have the experience of working through your challenges in collaboration with someone who has your best interest at heart. It is our belief that you make sense, and that what you think and feel is important.

Our team uses many modalities to provide integrative and attuned care. These methods may include Attachment-based therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and EMDR special techniques, Somatic Trauma Therapy, Polyvagal Theory of the nervous system, working with Parts, Deep Brain Reorienting, Humanistic Psychology, and a holistic approach to wellbeing.

  • 50 minutes

Psychotherapy sessions are person-centered and integrative, drawing from modalities that best match the client and their goals in therapy.

Rates vary by therapist, based on years of experience and trainings. All therapists receive clinical consultation as a part of best-pratice work.

  • 75 minutes

An extension of 25 minutes can be added to psychotherapy sessions for clients who require additional time in session, and may be suggested if the complexity or plan for the session would benefit from more time together.

  • Together, we’ll determine what frequency makes sense for you. Most often, clients are seen weekly or biweekly.

  • Hypnotherapy is the therapeutic use of hypnosis combined with psychotherapy that allows access to the root cause of a problematic limiting belief, behaviour, or pattern at the subconscious level to foster transformation, healing and change. Hypnotherapy can be particularly helpful for those who have “thought” their way through an issue, but who still struggle to release or shift that issue. Hypnosis is a natural state of openness and receptivity accessed through guided relaxation. In this state, clients are able to examine events from a new perspective, bring healing to emotional wounds, make choices that align with desired change, and adopt new beliefs and behaviours without resistance. Using hypnosis, we can desensitize triggers, untether from the pain of the past, and address the underlying root that causes issues to persist. In hypnotherapy sessions, strategies and techniques derived from somatic practices, the Polyvagal Theory of the nervous system, Parts work, cognitive reframing, age regression, Emotion Freedom Technique, resourcing, etc are used. Hypnotherapy has been shown to improve emotional control, increase happiness, decrease emotional distress, and positively impact feelings about the past, present and future. Through the neuroscience of rewiring neural connections, we can address anxiety, depression, problematic habits (such as body-focused repetitive behaviours or smoking), and reconnect to and discover new strategies, goals and ways of being that are in alignment with each client.

  • Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) is a neuroscience-informed trauma therapy that works with the brain’s original orienting and shock responses to overwhelming or attachment-related experiences.

By carefully tracking the nervous system’s instinctive responses held within the body, DBR supports the processing of trauma and shock at a deep and foundational level — often in ways that feel gentler, slower, and less overwhelming than traditional approaches.

Our work is informed by advanced DBR training, including Level 3 certification and Alexander Technique Interweaves, a somatic approach that supports the careful release of bracing and protective responses associated with shock and trauma.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based approach to therapy for processing trauma and memory reconsolidation. It has been proven effective for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, panic attacks, grief, depression, phobias, and other issues including burnout, health-related traumas, and relationship trauma. EMDR is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from emotional distress that is a result of life experiences that are held in the autonomic nervous system by helping clients activate their natural healing processes and removing “blocks” that have prevented healing. This is done through the application of the 8 phases of treatment which includes detailed protocols to address the various ways that trauma is stored in the mind and body: imagery, negative beliefs, emotions, and body sensations. EMDR has a 90% effectiveness rate, even in cases where previous mental health interventions were deemed ineffective and the client’s condition labelled “treatment resistant.” It works by activating the brain’s innate information processing system and targeting unresolved distressing memories.

  • Polyvagal Theory (PVT) is a helpful, non-pathologizing way to understand your own biology and responses to life’s demands. It emphasizes the role of the autonomic nervous system - especially the vagus nerve - plays in regulating our health, thoughts and behaviour. Using simple interventions, profound changes are observed to one’s internal and external experiences. This approach involves body-oriented, somatic techniques, and lays the groundwork for more in-depth trauma therapies.
